Yvonne Dunne

I have recently retired from working in an acute hospital on a Medical and Oncology Ward where I had the privilege of very close contact with patients (many of whom were terminally ill) and families at a most sensitive time.

While working at the hospital I decided to do a diploma in theology in Milltown Institute. There I met up with Sr. Margaret Mc Glynn LCM who was also doing the course. During this time we became friends and continue to be so.  Sr. Margaret invited me to become an associate and as I felt the Charism of Venerable Mary Potter was very close to my heart I was very happy to do so.

I have been an associate for 15 years of the Braemor Park Group here in Dublin, of which 7 of these years have been as facilitator which I found challenging and rewarding.

The shared experience of like-minded people through prayer and the listening of each other’s stories Challenges me to be A Woman of Hope.
